Service Project – Painting Party

On Saturday, May 14th, several SPARK Ambassadors and friends traveled to the Conrad Prebys Ramona Branch of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego to lend some much needed helping hands.

Sporting their best (and worst) painting outfits, the team worked together to update and brighten the branch’s game room with a fresh coat of paint on over 900 square feet.  Covering up the old neon yellow and purple walls with a vibrant “Boys & Girls Club blue” was fun and rewarding, even if some Ambassadors still have blue paint under their fingernails!

Upon her return, branch manager Simone McCune was ecstatic. “I returned from Leadership Camp to find our Game Room looking AMAZING! Big thanks to SPARK for taking the time! It’s amazing what a difference some fresh paint makes! We had a lot of compliments.”

Special thanks to the branch’s teen volunteer Brandon for jumping in and lending a helping hand as well!

We hope the kids and staff will enjoy the new color for many years to come!
